Gerhard Henning (27 May 1880 – 16 September 1967) was a Swedish-Danish sculptor. Henning is mostly known for he’s statues celebrating the female form. He’s works can be found in Denmark and Sweden in parks and other public environments. One of his most well-known sculptures, known as Reclining Girl, can be found displayed in Malmö Slottspark situated in Sweden.
Henning holds a significant place in the Nordic sculptural artistry. This is evident in his notable accolades, such as the Thorvaldsen Medal conferred upon him in 1937, followed by the prestigious Prince Eugen Medal in 1955.
